Born in Des Moines, IA, I grew up in a bustling household of six. In high school, I pursued my passions for tennis, photography, and fashion design, ultimately earning the opportunity to showcase an entire collection I designed myself in a school fashion show, where I also walked as a model.
After graduating with a degree in public relations from Iowa State University, I started my career in communications with Iowa State’s Science Bound scholarship program, which aims to empower underrepresented students to pursue STEM careers. There, I honed my skills in print materials production, data collection, and photography.
In addition to my work with the Iowa State Daily, I have also managed social media accounts for Blue Vine Media and written long-form SEO-optimized articles for The Grantsmanship Center, while independently managing clients. In my most recent role, I was the communications specialist at J2 Media.
Despite facing social anxiety throughout most of my lfie, I am driven by my desire to inspire and empower others through my experiences. Outside of work, I enjoy writing poetry, singing, and reading. I am a dedicated and curious individual with a unique perspective on life, and I am passionate about building opportunities for my community and lifting up other young women.
